GRAND OPENING!
I’m sure you’ve seen it on our Facebook and Instagram, but just in case you haven’t, our Grand Opening is this Friday, May 1st! Come through the drive thru between 5:30am and 5pm, order some yummy food and drinks, and get a FREE Spudnut as a thank you from us!
And after you leave, don’t forget to write to us and tell is what you think. You can find us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook!
Hope to see you all soon!
Almost there...
Such news!!! (Sorry, I’ve been watching Emma a lot lately)
Anyway, we are (fingers crossed, oh please oh please oh please) going to try to have our drive thru open and ready for service by May 1st! Now, of course, there are a lot of factors outside our control that may prevent this. But, our building is done, most of our supplies are ordered and in place, training has started, and finishing touches are being attended to.
If you’ve driven by recently I’m sure you’ve seen our lovely landscaping (over 200 bushes alone that have been planted) our cute little drive thru signs, and our snazzy bike rack. Maybe you’ve even noticed the bench swing on the side of the building by the gazebos. Trust me when I say that the inside is just as cute as the outside!
We will be sure to keep everyone in the loop in the coming weeks leading up to our open. We may have to limit our hours of operation at first, and we won’t be able to have indoor dining right away, but we are still working hard to bring you all yummy food and drinks as soon as we possibly can!
As fast as it can...
I know you’ve all been eagerly awaiting the opening of Silver Silo. You aren’t the only ones. One thing I’ve learned through all of this is that construction (good construction, anyway) cannot be rushed. It takes the time it takes.
I’m saying this because, once again, our construction has been delayed. Now the projected opening day has been pushed back into early April. But here’s the thing; it’s going to be perfect once it’s finished. So much thought and time and effort has gone into the design and construction of Silver Silo. So much care has been put into making sure every detail is absolutely perfect, every fixture and stick of furniture fits with the farm theme.
Things are moving along. Slowly, I know, but they are moving. Have patience, and in a few weeks time you are gonna see one of the coolest buildings ever built in Cedar City.
Status Update
I promised I would try to be good about writing this blog. And…I am trying. This has been a busy week with lots of behind the scenes progress. Food was tasted, cafe furniture was ordered, more pictures were taken, spreadsheets were created, and a hundred other decisions were made. The care and attention to detail that is going into every aspect of the creation of Silver Silo is nothing short of inspirational. We are working hard to be sure that we not only run a successful business, but that we earn the respect and appreciation of our community. So when I go slightly crosseyed from spending the day comparing shelving units, I know it will all be worth it in the end. Our customers come first, and that is in the forefront of our minds with every decision we make.
So here’s to progress, even though it isn’t obvious at the moment. I have no doubt that our care and dedication will be evident in the final product. Also, here’s hoping I have more exciting news next week!
Getting Closer
Every couple of days, I try to take a drive by the construction site. In theory, I do this to just take progress pictures, but the reality is I also do it because I love seeing how quickly things are coming along. The building is beautiful, even if it is still very much a work in progress. I am consistently impressed by how hard our construction crew is working, and how much love and craftsmanship is going into the building. I know our customers will be able to feel this every time they come to Silver Silo for a quick cup of coffee in the morning or a leisurely lunch in one of our gazebos. Speaking of our gazebos, have you seen how cool they are? Head over to our Instagram and Facebook to check out the building progress on those gems!
I also wanted to take this time to say a very heartfelt thank you to our wonderful community. We aren’t even open yet, but the excitement y’all have shown about Silver Silo is humbling. We cannot wait to share with you our enthusiasm for making people happy through food. Good food, when made properly, nourishes not only the body but also the soul. A lofty goal? Perhaps. But we got this.
